Recently selected for Toronto International Film Festival’s line-up, Cate Shortland’s Lore had its debut at the Sydney Film Festival in June. Now Transmission have released the beautiful new local trailer.
Spring 1945 and the German resistance collapses. As the Allied forces sweep across the Motherland, five children embark on a journey which will challenge every notion we have of family, love and friendship. Newcomer Saskia Rosendahl plays the titular Lore.
Cate Shortland’s Sommersault (2004) was acclaimed internationally, and helped launch the careers of Abbie Cornish and (for better or for worse) Sam Worthington.
Lore will be released in Australia on 20 September 2012 from Transmission Films.
