‘Class’: ‘Doctor Who’ spin-off debuts October 22

Class - Doctor Who (BBC)

The new Doctor Who spin-off CLASS has been confirmed by the BBC as kicking off on 22 October 2016, with the revelation that The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will make a cameo in the debut episode – and potentially more to come.

Charlie (Greg Austin), April (Sophie Hopkins), Ram (Fady Elsayed) and Tanya (Vivian Oparah), as well as their physics teacher Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly) are at the heart of things going wrong at Coal Hill School. The name will be familiar as the place Clara Oswald worked, but also as the setting of the very first Doctor Who episode in 1963.

The titles of the first two episodes have been confirmed as “For Tonight We Might Die” and “The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo.” The BBC says that both episodes will be available to watch on the 22 October.

Other regular cast members include Jordan Renzo (Chosen, Troubled), Pooky Quesnel (The A Word, Accused), Nigel Betts (Boy Meets Girl, Doctor Who) have been announced as series regulars, and the first two episodes will also feature Ben Peel (The Fall, Vampire Academy), Anna Shaffer (Harry Potter, Hollyoaks), Paul Marc Davies (Doctor Who, Torchwood), and Shannon Murray (The Totally Senseless Gameshow).
