It’s been a busy weekend of superhero news, and with several debuts and returns to the small screen this week, the rumours and news nuggets are flying thick and fast. We have a possible title for the next solo Batman film, the heroes of the CW go head-to-head in a steel-cage death match and the new Spider-Man film wraps production. The week has only just begun!
Speaking with AP on the press junket for his new film The Accountant, star Ben ‘Batfleck’ Affleck has revealed what might just end up being the title of the next solo Batman film. For long time fans of the character

After all, it was the name given to him in the first appearance in Detective Comics #27 back in 1939, as well as the name of an animated series that ran from 2004 to 2008. THE BATMAN is said to be directed by Affleck, co-starring Jeremy Irons (Alfred) and J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), and written by Geoff Johns and Affleck.
