Tori Kelly tours Australia in November to support Illumination’s ‘Sing’

Tori Kelly in Sing

Following its rave debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, Universal Pictures is thrilled to announce that Grammy Award® nominee Tori Kelly will be heading to Australia in support of Illumination’s new blockbuster animated movie musical – SING! In the film, Tori makes her cinematic debut as the voice of lead character Meena – a vocal powerhouse hidden inside a shy teenage elephant with a devastating case of stage fright.

Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, SING stars Buster Moon (Academy Award® winner Matthew McConaughey), a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times. Now faced with the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.

Along with McConaughey, SING stars Academy Award® winner Reese Witherspoon, alongside Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly.

Tori Kelly, who plays the timid elephant Meena in the film, will be performing a track from the film on Channel 7’s THE X FACTOR finale show.

Featuring more than 65 hit songs, SING is released by Universal Pictures in Australia on December 26, 2016.
