BEST OF: Welcome to our brand new monthly column, in which we each pick our top films that came out in the last few weeks. There were 19 new releases out in Australian throughout June 2011, including blockbusters X-Men: First Class, Super 8, Bridesmaids and Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D and the polarising The Tree of Life.

Super 8 is in cinemas today around the world, and as you will know from our recent review, it is one of the must-see films of the year. To celebrate its release, Paramount has released a brand new extended clip from the film, giving us over six minutes of footage.
